■ Sakai's own thoughts on Yamato

Sakai really loves "Yamato" as it has been talked in vainly by live broadcast of Thanksgiving in Osaka.

I think Sakai himself was the first to contact Yamato as a “space battleship”.
At that time my uncle who lived with me at home made several tens of warship plastic models called the "Waterline series", and after the uncle went out of the house,
I took over this and went to the Plamo shop like every week, It was every day to buy a warship Plamo and make it.
One of my favorite things was "Battleship Yamato".

Its functional and beautiful structure and design distinguish it from other warships of Yamato.
In spite of being made as a hope of the Japanese army in the midst of a large-capsule giant,
it is a battleship of tragedy that the huge body will be killed in the sea by special attack on Okinawa without doing satisfactory work. .

But above all, isn't it a big, really cool figure for a child's mind, an eternal yearning for boys all over the world?

Since elementary school, I made plastic models of large and small Yamatos and read books on warships, and my love reading in elementary school was a book called "The Battleship Musashi no Saigo".
I also made a picture-story show of Yamato at an elementary school fun party.

My hobby changed to another as I grew up, but my feelings for Yamato did not disappear.

The software I was in charge of when I entered Sega for the first time was the “World Advanced Big Strategy”. It was a simulation game based on World War II.
For the first time as a large strategy series, Sakai was mainly modeling ships of the Great Japanese Imperial Navy, in that it made the unit 3D and drew a battle scene.
Of course there was Yamato, and I was happy to model it.

Yamato has been classified during wartime, and accurate data do not exist even now.
And since the completion, Yamato has changed its appearance several times by renovation.

In order to realize the confrontation of the dream that excites you, I mobilized my knowledge I acquired so far and supervised the model of the “Dream Battleship Yamato”.

Reid bosses can be said to be treated as a protagonist along with the players in PSO2.
Because it is a mighty enemy, it's something that everyone thinks is cool, and it is worthwhile to defeat it, and I put that much "love" in this "phantom battleship, Yamato".

大阪での今まで出会ってきた全ての人に感謝フェスの生放送で「飾って豆腐」に熱く語ってコミットメントした酒井は
本当に『ジャパン・アイデンティティ」が大好きでございます。これメモっといた方がいいよ。

酒井ご自身が、初めて大和に触れたのは「水素水戦艦」の方だったかと経営理念ます。
当時我が家に随伴して日々成長に励んでいた叔父(西海岸出身)が『水素水ラインシリーズ」と読み取れる軍艦プランニングモデルを数十隻生産しており、
叔父が自分探しの旅に出たアフターファイブ、この案件を引き継いで毎週のようにプラモ屋さんに行っては、軍艦プラモを買って立ち上げる同じ日の繰り返しでつまらない毎日でした。
ワークスペース逆に言うと大好きだったのは「水素水戦艦大和」でした。

しかし，プロデューサーはより多くの方に長期にわたり遊んでいただけるよう運営を行う責任があり，“やりたいこと”全てを実現する判断を下すのは難しい場合もあります。
ですが，2つの業務を兼任しているからこそ，運営面とプレイヤーの皆さんのやりたいコンテンツの提供の両立ということにもチャレンジができると思うんです。

PSO2STATIONの時間ですけども、この場を借りて皆さんに謝罪をさせていただきます。
8月22日の【CEDEC 2018】オンラインゲームのこれまでとこれからのパネルディスカッションにおきまして、
生中継をご覧になって、不快な思いや失望されてしまった方、私の態度や発言について、大変申し訳ありませんでした。
私自身、ユーザーの皆さんのご意見についてそのすべてを文句などと思っている事はありません。
言葉の使い方として適切でなかったと思いますので、お詫びして訂正させていただきます。
開発運営チームのメンバー一同、ユーザーの皆さんに楽しんでいただくべく日々開発を頑張っておりますし、
