アメリカのドナルド・トランプ大統領は、シリアの復興を支援するために必要な資金を自分たちの代わりにサウジアラビアが支払うことをを受け入れたと発表した。

トランプ大統領は、ソーシャルネットワーキングサイトのツイッター（Twitter）に投稿し、シリアの復興をサウジアラビアが支援すると明かし、同国に感謝した。

トランプ大統領は、「サウジアラビアは、アメリカの代わりにシリアの復興支援に向けて必要な資金を支払うことを受け入れてくれた。いいかね。5000マイル離れた極めて豊かな国がアメリカの代わりに隣国の復興を支援するとは素敵なことではないか。ありがとう、サウジアラビア！」とシェアした。
