・WindowsではClang-cl、LinuxではClang+LLVMでビルド
・EME(Encrypted Media Extensions)を無効化
・Pocketを削除
・各種の情報収集機能を削除
・64bitのNPAPIプラグインをすべて使用可能
・未署名拡張機能を使用可能
・タブ複製を標準搭載
・日本語化はオプションでLocale選択するだけ
・PortableApps.com版あり

■Waterfoxについて

Waterfoxはさかのぼること2011年3月に、私、Alex Kontos（当時16歳の学生でした）によって始動しました。
私はウェブに魅了され、Mozillaの自由でオープンなウェブという理想を広めることを手伝いたいと思いました。
そして、私はMozillaのオープンソースのプラットフォームをベースとした64bitブラウザである、Waterfoxを作ることにしました。

Waterfoxはウェブ上で最初に広く配布された64bitブラウザの一つであり、すぐに熱心なファンを獲得しました。
当時は「速度」ばかりを考えていましたが、今のWaterfoxは倫理的にも、ユーザー指向なブラウザを目指しています。

Waterfoxは世界をより良い場所にするお手伝いをしつつ、ユーザーに選択肢を与えることに焦点を当てています。
Watefoxは検索エンジンのEcosia（生じた収益で木を植えています）のパートナーです。
ブラウザ自体は、重要な決定を行うことができるパワーユーザーに焦点を当てています。
プラグインのホワイトリストはありません。
お好きな拡張機能を使用できます。
情報やテレメトリをMozillaやWaterfoxプロジェクトに送信することはありません。

Firefox(32/64bit)、Cyberfox(64bit)とWaterfoxの最新52をベンチマークで比較してみた
新規プロファイルで念のため dom.max_script_run_time = 0 だけ設定
ウインドウは最大化してベンチマークのたびにブラウザを起動・終了
Firefox 52.0.1(32bit) 以外はマルチプロセス有効
以下スコアのよかった順位で示す
