Note that installing Deno is probably not necessary if you don't want to, only downloading it. Just like yt-dlp, Deno is available as a fully self-contained single executable from their GitHub releases: https://github.com/denoland/deno/releases. It looks like you will be able to use the upcoming --js-runtimes option in yt-dlp to specify the path to this self-contained Deno.
EDIT BY MAINTAINER: Note that the option name --js-runtimes and its syntax are still tentative and could change before #14157 is merged

Yeah, you can just extract the zip and put deno.exe in the same folder as yt-dlp
