Being back in the states and away from Japan for awhile really made me
less desensitized to all of the harassment women face here.

Me and my friend got harassed WAY MORE in the street than in the club
the other night. Two men touched the back of my neck
and one almost grabbed my ass (luckily my friend stopped him)

It upsets me because the women here are always asked
what we did to attract this attention, while the men are never questioned.
As a foreigner I can be loud about it but my heart breaks
for the Japanese girls who just think they need to keep quiet.

I really wish I could do something to encourage the women to speak up over here.
