I purchased a Surface Book with Performance Base in the US and I specifically asked
if it was covered under an international warranty which they confirmed.

It turns out it the device has a faulty touch screen where parts of the screen wont respond to touch
so I contacted Microsoft support. Since I now live in Europe I assumed that I could at least ship
the device to the MS Repair center in Germany and have it fixed there something the local MS support chat confirmed.

However, the US support division claims I not only have to ship the Surface Book to the US for repair
but they cant ship it back outside the US s
o I have to basically move to the US and stay there for the duration of the repair.

This is fucking ridiculous and I have no idea what I'll do except call up the local MS support
and yell at them until they either help me out or I toss my Surface Book out the window
and get a replacement from Apple or Lenovo where I at least get proper international warranty for the price premium I pay.
