Radio (WFLN) broadcast of Philadelphia Orchestra playing Rachmaninoff's Symphony No. 2, live in a subscription concert for the 1960-61 season. Eugene Ormandy conducts. This performance does not meet the prerequisites for inclusion in this channel because it's easy to get the 1959 Columbia stereo version (cut) and the 1973 RCA stereo version (uncut), but what the hell. This was the closing work of this April 8, 1961 concert; the opening work was Vocalese and then what I consider the main attraction: Istomin playing the second piano concerto.
